Adagio Health provides health care, nutrition counseling, and education to western Pennsylvania, focusing on uninsured and underinsured women in predominantly rural communities where access to healthcare services is scarce.
Following a rebranding initiative, Adagio Health wanted to change the perception of the brand to be a modern solution for individuals with healthcare needs. The Adagio team came to our team to modernize the website design, improve the user experience, and increase patient volume and referrals. We also needed to focus on building an intuitive information hierarchy and site structure to enable easy navigation of the site for new visitors.
The final website is a huge design improvement, but it also provides Adagio Health with important functionality that improves internal day to day processes. The website enables users to schedule an appointment by filtering by service or location preferences, a media center for visitors to stay up to date with happenings and events, and a mega menu to facilitate user journeys.
The design needed to cater to prospective patients, current and prospective donors, vendors, as well as community partners. Most of the prospective patients would be women from teenage years through menopause and many of them were tech savvy, so we wanted a design that was sleek without sacrificing the welcoming brand Adagio had built over the years. Our design works from the periwinkle and black color scheme established in the logo. We used the split rectangular lines from the logo as a design system throughout the entire website, yielding a design that was not only modern but also cohesive. Purple gradients and branded imagery of young, diverse individuals help to round out the site.
In order to better address the prospective patients coming to the site, we designed and developed a mega menu for the services section of the website. The expanded navigation enables website users to view services across healthcare, education and nutrition all at once. Our developers also built a locations module where site visitors can schedule an appointment on the site by searching for the service they are looking for in the county they reside in. Users can search by zip code and specify how many miles they are willing to travel. The site integrates with Salsa, enabling site visitors to donate. Lastly, a media center establishes a location on the site where website visitors can explore news and updates. Users can filter by new type or tags.
Since launch we’ve helped the Adagio team with payment processor updates, custom training, Facebook pixel tracking, and more. We love this unique, purple site and look forward to continuing to improve the site over time with the Adagio Health team.
