It is another frosty week here in Pittsburgh, but we are still able to keep you updated. We couldn't be more thankful for the option to work from home. The score is now blogging 1, terribly cold weather 0. We have some big changes this week with Twitter and Google, AOL makes an investment, and Apple figures out a new way to advertise. Twitter Analytics
Twitter is adding a new analytic card to the collection. Currently, they have eight:
- Summary Card
- Summary Card with Large Image
- Photo Card
- Gallery Card
- App Card
- App Installs and Deep-Linking
- Player Card
- Product Card
Now that we got that out of the way, we can discuss the analytics card. This feature was released on Thursday. Twitter promises to show users how viewers are digesting their content. It will also offer suggestions for a larger reach.

Google Adds a Knowledge Graph
This new feature will allow searchers to to a summary drop down of the website in their search results. Only the most popular websites will be granted this feature. However, some think the multiple links provided in each summary (source, google+, and website owner) may cause potential viewers to click elsewhere.

AOL buys Gravity
AOL purchased the personalized web content website for a cool 83 million. Gravity offers graphs and data on characteristics of internet users.

Google Searches Based on Query
Google is changing its search features. It will now be based on search query from the user. So, if you find anything missing, Google is just trying to tailor its filters to you.

Apple Targets your Mood
Apple will be using your information to create a baseline mood profile for each consumer. Then it will have the ability to target ads to you based on your current mood. What would Orwell think? Or how happy would Edward Bernays be?
