At Blue Archer, we recently launched a Wordpress service offering.  You may be wondering why or if Wordpress is the right option for you.  Obviously, one size does not fit all when it comes to business, or anything for that matter.  Wordpress can be more beneficial to some than for others. Here are some of the advantages to using a Wordpress site for your business:

1. Easy to use.  One of the great advantages to Wordpress is that it is easy and simple to use.  Even if you have no technical knowledge, it's easy to browse through the interface and perform actions.  With Wordpress you can easily manage your website content, including both text and images.  Also, many plug-ins are available to make marketing  simple and easy.  Different plug-ins help to guide you in optimizing your website for Search Engine Optimization, as well as how to develop relevant and useful content.  Through the use of a Wordpress site, you can easily connect your platform for marketing, social media, and website. 
2. Designing your site.  One of the great things about Wordpress, especially since it is geared toward being simple, is the ability to pick and choose through the design options available for your website.  These design options are called themes.  Many themes are already available on Wordpress, allowing you to find the one that is best suited toward your business.  Once you've chosen the theme that you think will work best, you can go through and customize certain aspects to make them more to your liking.  Even after your website has been launched, things aren't set in stone.  It is always simple to go back and change to a different theme, or customize something in a different way.
3. Coding.  One of the great things about Wordpress sites is that you don't have to special coding knowledge or expensive software in order to create and edit your site.  All of the work (such as blog posts, uploading images, formatting, etc) can be done on your computer without any software, or online.  It's as easy as typing your business information into a document.  Another great thing is the code behind the Wordpress site itself is very simple, making it easy for search engines, such as Google, to read and index the content within your site.  This allows for even better Search Engine Optimization.  
4. Size doesn't matter. Another valuable aspect of Wordpress is that you're not limited on the size of your website, just like you shouldn't be with your business.  If you're a small business at the moment, it's okay to create a site that it small as well.  If you're business grows, you are able to go in and expand your website as much as you like.  If needed, you can have hundreds of pages all within your website.  Even better, the size of your website doesn't reflect on the performance of the site.  Meaning, if your site grows, your website won't begin to run slowly, frustrating many potential customers.
5. Administration.  With Wordpress, the control over your website it completely in your hands.  You can go in and change things when you like and how you like, instead of having to wait around.  On top of this, as an administrator of your site, you can allow as many people as you like access to come in and alter the site.  This is great for businesses that have more than one person managing online marketing.  Have a person managing social media, another writing blog posts, and another updating business content?  That's fine.  All of them, and more, can have access to the site and it's capabilities.
