When most people think of The 87th Academy Awards, or The Oscars, they typically get excited about the art or even the fashion. Some even focused their attention on more heated topics such as racism and sexism that we see at most of these ceremonies.
We are definitely hoping to see more voices heard in the next coming years, and we will always push for it, but right now we want to focus our attention on one other thing.
Of course, maybe not as significant, but definitely exciting, are the ads of The Oscars.
Real-Time Marketing
Our social awards category is based off of The Oscars' opportunists. These brands know what is trending and when. They also have an uncanny ability to jump right in the lime light.

The BIG Fail
Sometimes life hands you a moment, and just when you are about to step up....
You will notice, that this is an image, not an embedded tweet. That is due to DiGiorno deleting the incredibly offensive tweet.
At first glance, "THE OVENS ARE ALIVE WITH THE SOUND OF PIZZA again," does not seem very harmful at all. However, they decided to tweet it exactly when the a tribute to a movie about Nazis was on.
Let us know if you have any to add to the list. f you want to make sure you are on the positive and not the fail side of Twitter give us a call.
