It's Friday again, and that means a week has passed in the world of marketing and social media. Within a week, so many different things can change, and new inventions and websites can be created. When running your own business, or even working a job, it can be hard to stay on top of everything that's happening. That's what we're here for. Here's what you may have missed:
Add-Ons
Quite a few businesses nowadays are using Tumblr for their marketing. If you are one of these businesses, or even a business considering Tumblr, then you'll be happy to know that there are add-ons you can add to your Tumblr, each one different and cusomized to improve your experience. This article talks about seven different add-ons, including X Kit, which provides more features, and Tumblr Savior, which allows you to mark certain keywords to be found in articles.
Snapchat
Is Snapchat the next big thing? Many companies now are using Snapchat to reach out to targeted audiences, especially those of teenagers. According to an article published on Thursday, the company even turned down a $3 billion dollar acquisition offer from Facebook. One Snapchat may even equal four Instagrams!
Youtube
Youtube recently integrated a new commenting system on their site. And in this case, users are not happy about the changes, at all. This is definitely a good lesson in user experience for business owners of any niche. So far over 95,000 people have signed a petition at change.org asking Youtube to change its comment section back to its original state.
CEO
An article was recently published about what it takes to be a CEO. Now, being a CEO can be a very different experience depending on what company you work for, as well as what that company specializes in. However, some of the advice and general information can apply to any person that's interested. Some interesting statistics were included in the article as well: 80% of CEOs consider themselves very optimistic, and 25% of CEOs have worked for the same company for their entire career.
LinkedIn recently announced their new download, where they've meshed with Pulse. LinkedIn Pulse is like the original LinkedIn, but with the inclusion of a news aggregation app. Other updates also include larger images, the ability to share, comment, and like from stories, and have that sync to the desktop version of their original site.
That's all for this week! As for the weekend: sleep in, watch TV, and get geared up for the next week to come! If you have any questions regarding the new integration from social media and marketing, contact a Blue Archer Professional.
