In the industry, PowerEditor serves as a necessary tool for digital marketers. It maximizes reach for Facebook ads while allowing bulk campaign publishing.
If you already feel lost or confused, but still want to put your business on the map with social media advertising, you can catch up on some of the basics about the tool before we move onto the updates.
What's New
In early September the tool introduced a variety of changes and updates that will make our lives easier (or trickier if something is not where you remembered it).
Navigation
This one may make it trickier if you are set in your ways and used to your old PowerEditor navigation. It is okay, though, change is good. The change actually made it more user-friendly since items are not buried within multiple drop-down menus.
- Manage Ads: Manage your campaigns, ad sets and ads.
- Audiences: Includes Custom Audiences, Lookalike Audiences and Saved Audiences.
- Image Library: No new updates, but it does contain all of the images for your campaigns.
- Reporting: Saved reports.
- Page Posts: Previously known as “Manage Pages.”
- Tools: This includes Campaign Dashboard, Pixels, Billing, Account Settings, Account Groups
For side navigation, icons were incorporated to make it a bit less confusing when trying to access your campaign, ad set, or individual ads.
Search/Filtering
We've made it easier to find the things you care about by improving filtering and searching. You can now see all of the filters you've applied.
Facebook For Business
You can now search by:
- Campaign Name
- Ad Set Name
- Ad Name
- Campaign ID
- Ad Set ID
- Ad ID
- Tag
You can now filter by:
- Campaign Delivery
- Ad Set Delivery
- Ad Delivery
- Objectives
- Recent Campaign Changes
- Recent Ad Set Changes
- Recent Ad Changes
Split Testing
Select an ad set and split the audience across new ad sets targeted to specific ages or genders. You can choose whether to split the budget for the original ad set, or create new budgets for each.
Facebook For Business
What is the best way to reach your audience? Split testing is a crucial tool to see exactly what appeals to those you would like to reach.
While demographic research and assumptions may begin the building blocks a campaign, live testing will usually tell you if it is a success or bust. The new PowerEditor feature will let you tweat your campaigns by split testing.
Create Ads
Social media marketing is becoming a normal affair for businesses of all sizes. No one can deny the popularity of the different platforms and most people are guilty of wasting a little too much time on them.
We can definitely help you get started if you are not advertising on Facebook or other platforms just yet.
